It’s 6:45 in the morning and we’ve been driving all night to get to our next soundcheck. We are already going to be a couple of hours late, but we left immediately after our set last night. I wasn’t even able to go out to take pictures with the crowd.
Tonight’s audience gets the MVP award for one of the best audiences ever. They waited for HOURS in the rain, thunder, and lightening to get to see the show. Show time kept getting pushed back, and one by one pieces of the show were getting canceled.
But hours after we were supposed to already be on the road, we FINALLY got to take the stage!!!

We were opening for Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band. One would be hard pressed to find a nicer individual or a man with a larger heart for the troops!!!

While maintaining a full acting schedule (currently starring on CSI), he has his band (incredible by the way – he plays bass and has multiple singers, a horn section, the WORKS!) and all the proceeds from their shows go straight to his foundation. Check out the Gary Sinise Foundation at http://www.garysinisefoundation.org
to find out more info. The work he does for the troops is so inspiring!
And I also need to say a huge thank you to Maj. Gen. Anthony G. Crutchfield Commanding General, U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence

General Crutchfield opened his home for a reception before the show, and he was also the first person to get the dance party started in front of the stage: the first of Thousands!!!! That was such a cool moment.
I need to nap now.
Peace. Love. Fiddle.
